Why you'll love this recipe

1. Creamy coconut water brings alllll the hydration and nutrition

Besides being straight-up tasty, coconut water is known for its hydrating properties. It’s packed with electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and magnesium. Not only that, but it’s a natural way to replenish your body's fluids, especially after a workout or on a hot day.

Matcha, on the other hand, is rich in antioxidants and provides a gentle energy boost thanks to its natural caffeine content. And one of the best parts about matcha is it energizes you, but doesn’t give you the jitters or crash people often get from coffee.

2. So creamy, so dreamy

The matcha cold foam is made from coconut cream, which gives it a rich, creamy texture without the need for dairy. Plus, the flavor profile pairs perfectly with the coconut water.

Adding in the brown sugar gives this drink a hint of caramel sweetness that perfectly balances the earthy flavor of matcha.

3. It’s easy to make

This recipe is straightforward and requires only a few ingredients – just how we like it. It's a great way to impress your friends and family with a fancy-looking drink that's actually simple to prepare.

Tips for making the perfect matcha coconut cold foam

  • Quality matters: Use high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha powder for the best flavor and vibrant green color. Similarly, choose a good brand of coconut cream that is thick and creamy, preferably with simple ingredients.
  • Chill the coconut cream: Make sure the coconut cream is well-chilled before whipping to get the best fluffy texture.
  • Sweeten to taste: Adjust the amount of brown sugar based on your preference. You can also experiment with other sweeteners like maple syrup or agave nectar!
